This day I love.......

If you have met my youngest daughter you know she is incredibly clumsy. We joke she is best friends with the floor as she spends that much time falling over invisible objects.  She does however love ballet dancing and playing outdoors.

Ballet has really helped her balance and co ordination and whilst its taken over a year she can now hop and stand on one leg!  Riding a scooter can also help with balance and co ordination and the Globber up scooter is really helping her with this.

We started by locking the front wheels, which is easy to do with one button. This helped her to gain confidence on the Globber up before we unlocked them. The Globber up also has a low deck profile, when compared with other scooters.  This low profile means the scooter is not only more stable but also more comfortable. At 3 years old her little legs do not tire as quick on the Globber up, so she wants to ride it for longer.  As she is riding for longer her confidence also build.

Her elder sister also has a Globber up. The Globber up features a height adjustable handle bar meaning it is suitable for both my 5 and 3 year old and will grow with them.  My eldest had been growing in confidence on hers and now uses the brake at the back instead of simply putting her feet down on the floor.

I love the bright vibrant colours of the Globber scooters. They really stand out from the crowd.  The handle bars are soft and padded giving great grip and comfort.

The Globber up weighs 2.6kg and so even if we go out for the day I can carry the scooters for the girls whilst they are not riding but better yet they are able to pick them up themselves!

The Globber up has improved the confidence of both girls.  In my youngest it is also helping to improve her balance and co ordination. It has reinforced their love for the outdoors and at any given opportunity they are both wanting to be outside on their Globber up scooters.  I love that the girls are wanting to be outside playing and love that the Globber up is so comfortable and easy for them to use that it keeps them active for longer.

I purchased the Globber up mentioned in this post, words are my own opinion

I feel like a little bit of normality is starting to return.

The girls are currently on to their second, and final, week of their Easter holidays.  Last week I tried to do as much as possible with them in order for them to feel as if things had not changed.  They had a day playing at Grandmas and a day at home playing.  We ventured to soft play with friends and had a day at the cinema with Pizza hut for lunch.  We even visited the local park with more friends and rode the Easter fairground rides.

We had our Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday along with eating chocolate and plenty of colouring.  The afternoon was spent with Grandma and Grandad

Easter Monday with rubbish weather meant we stayed indoors to play, but today came the biggest part of feeling normal.  We went to the supermarket!

It might sound silly but I had been dreading going to the supermarket with baby and the girls.  It actually went fine.  Baby slept the entire time and the girls were really helpful.

I am starting to feel as if a little bit of normality is returning.  It might take us most of the morning to get ready but at least we are getting out and doing things.  The next challenge will be to do the morning school run, I am really not looking forward to that!

This day I love a bit of normality

Readers of surprises will know that I have been without my car due to a small accident.  I have been driving round in a small car which although lovely does not fit my pushchair in the boot or the dog in with the girls, so trips out have been somewhat limited.

My daughter was heartbroken when my car was taken away.  She asked over and over 'where's your car Mummy?' 'Car back soon Mummy?'.  Today when it returned and she saw it again she started jumping up and down and pointing making ooh noises.  She was very excited to see my car again and said 'Car all better now Mummy'.

I am so pleased to have my car back, OK it might not be a sporty number or anything fancy but it does exactly what I need it to do.  I can finally get my pushchair in the car and the dog and take everyone out once again.  I cannot wait for tomorrow to go out with the dog and the girls, I'm not sure who is more excited my eldest, the dog or me!

This day I love my car.
