This day I love.......

I love taking the girls places where they can run free and explore.  When #lovecravendale provided me with tickets to Newby Hall and Garden I was excited to take the girls, having never been before it seemed like it would be a lot of fun.  First we had to pass through a real prison cell door, I was rather fascinated by it.

Prison door

My eldest daughter loved the drive up to the car park.  There are sheep roaming free and she kept pointing at them through the window.  We parked in the free car park and headed over for some lunch.  Although a little cloudy we decided to sit outside and the girls, joined with H and J from Hollybobbs, had fun running round the enclosed garden.  We were even joined by a robin.

There was lots to see and we even found some giraffes

The girls had a lot of fun on the adventure playground.  They really wanted to go on the boats too, but we decided against it having the little ones.

It also seems that any where we go we come across a large sandpit.  It took a lot of persuasion to coax the girls out of the sand pit.

A change of clothes was needed after the girls ran through the water play ground.  Later in the day we saw several children running though in swim wear, I think this maybe the way to go next time we visit.

The girls had fun exploring the wonderful gardens.  With hidden dens in trees, trying to climbing trees and exploring the water together.  It was really lovely to watch.

After a walk around the gardens it was time for our train ride.  The train ride is an extra charge but at £1.80 per person [children over 2 and adults] it was a reasonable price to pay.  My girls really enjoyed the ride and my eldest could not contain her excitement at riding the train.

The girls started to get a little tired.  Luckily I had BOB with me and the girls could all relax together as I pushed them through the lovely flowers in the garden.

We arrived at the house, there was a lovely lawn that was perfect for playing on.

All the children had a lot of fun exploring and running free.  It was so beautiful to watch them all play together.  Newby Hall and gardens really was a great family day out.  Thanks once again to #lovecravandale for providing tickets to Newby Hall and gardens.  Why not start collecting tokens from special Cravendale and exchange them for great family days out.

This day I love running free.

Having had a long day at work I could not wait to pick up the girls from nursery.  I asked my eldest what she wanted to do and her reply was eat sausages and play in sand.  So whilst I cooked sausages for her dinner the girls had some fun in the sand

exploring shapeswalking in the sand

I placed different shapes in the sand for my daughters to explore the patterns they would make in the sand.  It was a great way to discuss the shapes with my eldest daughter who is learning shapes at the moment.

After dinner we took the opportunity to play outside as it was a lovely spring day.  We bounced on the trampoline

We spied the Robin sitting on the fence [he is there just to the right of the fence post on top of the fence, I had to take it from a fair distance with my phone so apologies]

Before having a lie down and looking up at our Oak tree to see if there were any more birds, theboyandme this picture is for you

It was really lovely to play with the girls before bed and have some messy play fun too

This day I love messy play before bed.
