This day I love.......: snow white

My girls currently have 1 wish and that is to go on holiday to see Minnie Mouse. They both love Minnie mouse and the Disney characters, so much so that we have Disney songs in the car. We watch the Disney channel and Disney films and even in their imaginative play Disney features. [this is them dressed up as a dwarf and snow white in case you wondered]

They recently needed new shoes and you guessed it we had to search high and low until we found Minnie Mouse shoes.

It would therefore be amazing if we could take the girls to Disney land. The girls are currently in the final of a competition to win this amazing trip and you could help in less than 2 minutes. When it is 8.30am and the girls have already decided that today they are only going to answer to Snow white and Minnie mouse you sort of know you are going to be having an interesting day.

My eldest is in a Disney Princess phase with Snow White one of her favourite characters. My youngest loves Minnie Mouse. In particular we read a story where Minnie dresses as a cow girl and it is one of her favourites, so she likes to dress as cowgirl Minnie. They played outside for a while in their costumes before getting too hot and so got changed, however they didn't loose character.

My eldest declared that Snow white was tired and needed a rest. I have no idea why the orange glasses. Snow White then asked one of the dwarves to push her. This prompted my youngest to place a bag on her head and walk around the garden shouting hi ho, hi ho. It was incredibly funny and rather imaginative.

Snow Whites chosen destination was of course the slide.

I love how the girls have started to play more together and how imagination is starting to feature more in their play. It is so lovely to watch them and hear how they think.

It was a rather wet weekend, we spent the Sunday making cakes and baking buns. The girls love mixing and eating all the cake mixture. There is no better way to spend a rainy evening than dressing up as your favourite character, in my eldest case this is Snow White. A treat for the dog that's as big as the dog!

The girls had a sleep over at their Grandmas and my eldest helped to make tea. My youngest is not sleeping very well at the moment, so any sleep pictures are rare. We received a new book which my eldest had a lot of fun looking through and reading to me. I wanted to do something special today in order to remember Matilda Mae so the girls and I went to paint a star which we would like to send to Jennie.

It might be horrible weather outside but that can't stop the girls and I having some fun.

My eldest and I love to bake together and I recently came across a new website, Baking Mad, when looking for some easy baking recipes. The rainy weather gave us the perfect opportunity to try some of the recipes. First up my eldest wanted to bake some Monster Inc cakes we had bought.

The girls love to eat all the mixture before it gets to the cake case, but they did rather well and managed to get a few of the cases filled.

With the cakes in the oven, we searched baking mad for something else to bake. We wanted to find something quick and easy and settled upon Easy Scone. It was really easy to find a recipe to bake and the website was clearly set out, our only problem was choosing what to make.

My youngest was a little upset as she wanted to do all the mixing, and when she finally got her turn she cheered up.
