This day I love.......

Little Man loves water.  I had wanted to start swimming with him as I had with the girls from 6 weeks, but seemingly when it is your third child and you have two other children to organise it takes some time before you find swimming lessons to fit in with your other children and their time table.

Little Man however was very excited, kitted out in his new Konfidence swim wear we were ready to go.  first however he got distracted by the lockers and went to investigate.  His Konfidence swim wear did not restrict his movement whilst dry and he easily cruised along the lockers to investigate the keys hanging from them.

Little Man had the clown fish print for all his swimming gear, as I liked the pattern but there was plenty of choice including simple colours if you wished.  His Babywarma swimsuit was easy to get on and off and I could do so whilst he was standing up.  It wraps and fastens round him with velcro, and should I have needed to I could change his nappy without having to remove the whole suit.  When I took his suit off him to get dressed the water that came from him was lovely and warm, I know therefore he was warm in the pool.

The second we did get out the water he became interested once again in the lockers and he had no problems walking across to investigate even in wet swim gear.

In addition to his Babywarma swimsuit he also wore a Neo Nappy, which are compulsory in swim schools.  This over the top Neoprene nappy was one I was familiar with and can remember the girls wearing, it is designed to stop those unfortunate accidents in the water and is worn over the top of a swim nappy.  With the girls I had to search everywhere to find a reusable swim nappy, as I felt it such a waste to throw a nappy away after 30 minutes in the water.  Konfidence now have a reusable swim nappy and to make it even better it is a one size fits all option! [3 months to 30 months]

The AquaNappy has adjustable poppers and Velcros at the side, so you can adjust to fit your child.  Little Man seemed to enjoy wandering off in his as I tried desperately to get him dressed.  There was no need to add any inserts to it so it is ready to go straight from the packet and it can even be washed in the washing machine.

Little Man found it easy to move through the water and out of the water when both wet and dry! Even after several washes his kit still looks as good as new, which makes me really happy too!  We love going swimming together it is a great time for us to bond and after he usually has a big nap too!  His Konfidence kit is sure to last him for some time yet, which makes it great value for money, and I have to say I love the bright colours and patterns.

Thanks to Konfidence for sending the items mentioned in exchange for this post

Both my girls love water and I knew that they would want to spend as much time as possible in the water whilst on holiday.  We were staying in a James Villa which had its own pool and therefore most of our holiday would be spent in the water.

What I had not accounted for was just how much my kids love water.  It was a good job Konfidence had sent everything we needed to keep the girls skin safe whilst they played in the water.  Hats with extra protection for the back of their necks, shorts and long sleeved vests, all protect against UV rays and help keep the girls safe in the sun.

The girls loved exploring outside the villa and playing in the pool, the Konfidence suit certainly did not hinder their fun in anyway

Made from soft lycra there are certainly very comfortable for the girls to wear who would happily have kept them on all day.  They were highly durable as the girls kept jumping in and out the pool and we had no staining of skin meaning the colours stayed too.

Konfidence have certainly helped my girls grow in water confidence and gave me confidence to allow the girls to play out in the sun.

My eldest daughter seems to feel the cold very quickly.  So when we go swimming, to our local pool, she shivers and clings to me.  She is more than capable of swimming unaided, but the cold really puts her off.  I have searched high and low for a product that would keep her warm, and would not alter her buoyancy.

The girls were sent a Konfidence Baby Warma and a Warma wetsuit for them each to try.  Both the Baby Warma and Warma wetsuit are rated to give high UV protection and give warmth.  As well as not altering the buoyancy.  I was keen to get the girls in the water to try them out.  Our local pool has a no photography policy so I could not take photos in the pool, but here are the girls ready to go.

My eldest is in the Warma Wetsuit.  The Konfidence Warma Wetsuit is 2.5mm thick soft flexible neoprene.  It is very easy to get on [and off again when wet], and features Velcro straps on the shoulders.  These straps are adjustable giving room for growth.  My eldest is in a size 2-3 years and she is almost 4, but there is still plenty of room for her to grow into.  I loved that she was still able to swim, thanks to the fully flexible nature of the suit.  She did not show any signs of discomfort and wanted to stay in the pool even after we had been there for an hour.  This shows to me that she was warm.

My youngest is in the Baby Warma which is 2mm thick.  I love that the Baby Warma opens up completely flat.  So it is incredibly easy to get a baby into, also its great for access for a nappy change.  My youngest wasn't too sure about the Velcro strap between her legs, but once in the water she soon forgot about it.  The suit did not alter her ability to swim and she swam unaided for 2M.  I also saw no change in her buoyancy.

Both suits have no internal ridges meaning the suits are comfortable to wear and there is minimum chance of rubbing, and therefore causing discomfort.  I would say the suits are comfortable to wear as neither girl noticed them whilst in the pool and have tried to put them on whilst in the house.  I did notice that when I took the suits off, the water beneath them felt lovely and warm.

I was very impressed with the Warma wetsuits and my girls have even asked to go swimming again with them.

I was sent a Baby Warma and a Warma wetsuit to review.  All words and opinions are my own.
