This day I love.......

I have been gifted two hats for the purpose of this review

Those who know me know how much I love hats. Hats and chocolate are the perfect gift for me. I have a whole draw full of hats. My dream email landed recently from  Big Bobble Hats who asked if I wanted to review their hats. I couldn't say no, I was already a fan of theirs owning several designs already. I selected two Spill the Beanies and Yorkshire Lass.

Yorkshire Lass is of a similar style to my other Big Bobble hats. All big bobble hats are one size fits all. Yorkshire Lass was one I couldn't resist, given I am a Yorkshire Lass! I also love stripes so it was perfect. Like the traditional style Big Bobble Hats Yorkshire Lass features a large PomPom bobble on top and is incredibly warm to wear.

Spill the Beanies is a little different to what I am familiar with with Big Bobble Hats. This one is true Beanie style and has no Pom Pom on it. It is made from a merino wool mix and is incredibly soft. I often forget that I am wearing it and have it on throughout the house.

Spill the Beanies has certainly kept me warm on my many adventures with the dogs. The fleece lining gives it such a soft feel inside too.

Whilst we are all in home isolation my hats are getting worn around the house and in the garden. Yes I do wear them indoors too! I cannot wait to go one adventures again.

If like me you also love hats I have a discount code for you to use at Big Bobble Hats - THISDAY15 and if you would like to win a Big Bobble Hat, make sure you like my Instagram page where I will be putting one live shortly!

The Sunuva website oozes summer. Every time I visit it I want to go on holiday. The beautiful patterns and prints are designed and made in UK and appear to be of the highest quality. When our parcel arrived from Sunuva we were very excited to open and see what was inside, my youngest daughter was really pleased.

The girls were kindly sent a hat, dress and shoes each for our holiday. The dresses are light weight, with beautiful details and embroidery and kept the girls cool in the hot 30c sunshine. Both girls wanted to wear their dresses every night and they are a beautiful fit for them. Allowing the freedom of movement and room to play.

On their feet the girls wore stylish espadrilles from Sunuva, who have teamed up with Soludos. The soles are an eco friendly jute to keep feet dry. The shoes were soft and comfortable to wear and the girls wore them for the flights. They were great for the beach or simply staying by the pool and gave their feet protection from the hot sun yet kept them cool.

To top off their outfits the girls each had a straw cowboy hat from Sunuva. The hats complimented either their dresses or shoes with gorgeous patterns. The rim of the hats large enough to keep their necks shaded too. Both girls wanted to wear their hats which is important to do in the hot sun, and particularly so on the beach.

The girls looked gorgeous in their Sunuva outfits and were kept safe and cool from the hot sun.

Sunuva kindly sent each girl the outfits mentioned, words are my own personal opinion

Both my girls love water and I knew that they would want to spend as much time as possible in the water whilst on holiday.  We were staying in a James Villa which had its own pool and therefore most of our holiday would be spent in the water.

What I had not accounted for was just how much my kids love water.  It was a good job Konfidence had sent everything we needed to keep the girls skin safe whilst they played in the water.  Hats with extra protection for the back of their necks, shorts and long sleeved vests, all protect against UV rays and help keep the girls safe in the sun.

The girls loved exploring outside the villa and playing in the pool, the Konfidence suit certainly did not hinder their fun in anyway

Made from soft lycra there are certainly very comfortable for the girls to wear who would happily have kept them on all day.  They were highly durable as the girls kept jumping in and out the pool and we had no staining of skin meaning the colours stayed too.

Konfidence have certainly helped my girls grow in water confidence and gave me confidence to allow the girls to play out in the sun.

My youngest daughter and I went to Meadowhall shopping centre and dotted around the shopping mall were lots of footprints.  Our curiosity led us to track the footprints, what could it be?

footprints in the shopping centre

We followed the footprints, they were too big to be a cat or a dog.  The wrong shape for a horse or rabbit, we kept going.  Out side the footprints led us to a big white tent, whatever the animal was it was inside the tent

The big white tent

We stepped inside the tent and were given some mouse hats.  The mouse is the scariest creature in the deep dark woods.  The tent was home to the deep dark woods, and we were going to take a stroll through the deep dark woods.

Mouse hat selfie

We [the mouse] took a stroll through the deep dark wood, a fox saw the mouse and the mouse looked good.  The fox came out from the deep dark wood, he sniffed us and looked, then invited us for tea, it was very kind of him but we had to follow the footprints.  An Owl and a snake invited us too but we had to know what had left these footprints.

Deeper into the dark woods we went.  Listening to stories and watching the story unfold, until out from a tree we found the answer to who had left the footprints.  He had terrible tusks and terrible claws and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws, he had knobbly knees and turned out toes and a poisonous wart at the end of his nose, his eyes were orange and his tongue black and there were purple prickles all over his back, oh help, oh no we found a Gruffalo!

Gruffalo experience

Out of the deep dark woods we went, happy we had found who had left those footprints around Meadowhall.

Thank you to the team at Meadowhall for giving us the first tour of the Gruffalo experience, we have not been asked to write this post.

Today I had the day with my youngest whilst my eldest was at school.  It was nice just spending the day together just the two of us, and we spent our day playing games.

My youngest is 2 years old and has recently started wanting to play with dolls.  One of her favourite things is dressing them, which of course means undressing.  With some dolls this can raise a few questions.  My youngest has a Lottie Doll, which we were sent as we are part of the ambassador program.  We have the Pirate Queen Lottie but there are a huge range of dolls which all follow the motto, Be bold, be Brave and Be you.

Like my daughter Lottie is also two, it was her birthday last month, and she is age appropriate.  There are no tattoos, no makeup or jewelry and her body resembles that of a child.  That is great as it means my girls are not in a rush to grow up.  My daughter loves carrying around Lottie, she is 7" or 18cm tall.

We spent most of the day dressing and undressing Lottie.  As Lottie is flexible my daughter can do this by herself.  She loves all the clothes Lottie has, especially the pirate hat.  After we had got Lottie dressed we had to do her hair.  We brushed it and put in a pony tail, before deciding the hat looked best with nothing in the hair.

Whilst Lottie is recommended for ages 3 -9 my youngest at 2 absolutely adores her.  We play games with Lottie and she sings pirate songs as she plays with her.  She even wanted to take photos of her to show her Grandma and Grandad.

We really love our Lottie doll and I would put it as a recommend for Christmas.  Why not follow Lottie on Facebook or via twitter, @Lottie_dolls, to keep up to date with all Lottie things.

There is a competition which is been hosted by all the brand ambassadors for your chance to win 2 Lottie dolls and 2 accessory packs from the current range

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The competition is open between 14th September and 12th October.

It has been a while since my Last 365 post, hopefully my apology will help to explain things.  The week has been a rather interesting one.  It was my final week at work and whilst I am in some ways sad to be leaving I am really looking forward to starting my new job and the new experience it will bring.  The week started off with some lovely sunny weather which saw us having our first picnic of the year.  This was at the request of my eldest and it was great fun.

The rest of the week was spent very similar, playing in the garden, playing lots of board games and generally having fun.  I managed to box everything up to be sent back to work, just in time!  My favourite pictures of the week are below one from our picnic and the other my very own Easter bunny in her bunny hat she made!

Hope you have a happy Easter!
