This day I love.......

I have been looking for some time for a wall clock for the kitchen. I am quite fussy when it comes to home decorations and refuse to just have things for the sake. Instead I have something in mind and rarely settle until I find what it is I am looking for. Perhaps this is why it has taken so long for me to find a clock for the kitchen.

The perfect clock was found recently over on Red Candy. In my opinion at a really reasonable price too, £34.20, and what attracted me to it was how it looked a little different without it being too out there. After all, I want the time piece to feature in the kitchen and so it needs to withstand the test of time too.

The Karlsson Origami Wall Clock features a unique origami style texture and it was this that drew me to it in the first place. Available in three colours, white, grey and pink, I went for white as I felt it would match whatever interior I may change the kitchen to in the future.

The Origami wall clock sits flush against the wall and almost blends in. The face of the clock then stands out and looks almost as if it has been folded from paper. The clock has a really good weight behind it too and when held it feels exceptional quality.

The Karlsson Origami Wall Clock would make a perfect gift for a new home owner or even a Christmas gift, the design is sure to fit in with most home styles.

Thanks to red Candy for sending the clock for review, all words are my own opinion.

As a family we love to travel and discover new places.  We are just as excited about discovering places in the UK as we are to travel by plane.  This year we are going to be visiting some amazing places and creating some wonderful memories, and for some time we have looked for a map to display our travels.

The map we have been looking for had to be able to not only aid in our planning, but also feature where we had been.  Nothing quite fitted what we wanted until we stumbled across the corkboard map from red candy.

Each piece of the world map has an adhesive back to allow it to be stuck to the wall.  Once stuck it is very difficult to remove to re position so it is worth ensuring pieces are correctly positioned before committing and removing the backing paper.

Sticking each island was a little tricky, and in some cases my geography failed me as I tried to work out what each one was.  Overall I do not think I have done too bad assembling the world

The corkboard map also comes with a box of black pins.  We have decided to use these to mark places we have visited as a family.  I am going to buy some other colours for places before children, and places we are planning on visiting.  The girls would also like a colour for places we would love to visit.

I plan on pinning a memento of each holiday onto the corkboard world, be that a photo or ticket or something else.  The great thing about the corkboard map is that we can fill it with our memories.  I am even thinking about pinning our race numbers as we run around the world!

The map was sent to us in exchange for this review

I remember spending many hours as a child playing Tetris.  I actually got pretty good at it, although by the same token was probably slightly addicted to it.  Even now I believe my ability to pack objects, particularly boxes into car boots, has come from my Tetris knowledge.

Tetris, I think, is one of those iconic moments from childhood.  A classic game which I will introduce to my children soon. To start their Tetris journey I have introduced them to the shapes from the game using my Tetris light.

My Tetris light from red candy is a treat that has made a welcome addition to my office. The base brick contains a switch which lifts it blue.  The remaining Tetris pieces are then placed upon this blue base brick and upon doing so light up.  This gives you endless possibilities, as provided they are linked to the base brick they light up.

The girls find it magical and love thinking of combinations to connect every break together. They try to create towers without leaving gaps and see how high they can stack them.  Cannot wait for them to play the game.

My Tetris light was sent from red candy for review, all words are my own opinion.

My dogs are very much my fur babies. As daft as it may sound J is my best friend. He knew I was pregnant before anyone else and he always knows when I feel sad and comes to cheer me up.  J loves the kids and has always been protective of them, even when they were bumps.

I love my dogs.  They have their own personalities and traits. Spotty dog is absolutely bonkers and often gives you a look of 'I don't understand'.  She has her own ways to get your attention and in particular will sit by the food cupboard when she is hungry.

J is a loving dog. He stands by the door when he wants to be let out or if he sees a squirrel.  When he wants a walk though he stares at you longingly.

He recently has a new trick to tell me he wants a walk.  He jumps on the chair and sits by this cushion from red candy.

Walkies!

I am not sure if it is the gorgeous colours, the picture of a dog that looks like him or if he can read the writing but either way he loves walkies.

There are other dog pictures available, although I love this one as it reminds me of J, which means they make an idea gift for any dog lover.

Thanks to Red candy for sending the Walkies cushion, all words are my own opinion

The girls are showing a real interest in the minute in growing plants.  They were given a bag of seeds and are desperate to plant them.  This curiosity has expanded into how do plants grow, and we have been having fun exploring this.

A recent delivery of a rainy pot from Red Candy, has allowed us to explore this further.

We chose a blue pot for our rainy pot, but there are other colours available.  Everything needed [except soil, seeds and water] are included in the box and there is minimal assembly.

The rainy pot can be hung on the wall or stood on its own.

We decided to do something a little fun for Easter.  The girls know that for a plant to grow it needs a substance like soil to grow in.  However as this was a magic Easter plant we needed some flour.

Once full it was then time to plant our special Easter seed [small chocolate egg for us big people].

For a plant to grow it needs water and our special cloud helped us with this.  The cloud takes a maximum of 80ml of water.

The special rainy pot then casts its magic and rains on our plant, as plants need water to grow

The girls left their special Easter plant out over night for the Easter bunny to wave his magic.  Next morning when the girls woke up

Our Rainy pot had grown a special Easter treat!

The girls were incredibly impressed and are now really eager to plant flowers in our Rainy pot!

Thanks to Red candy for sending us a rainy pot for this post.  All words are my own opinion.
