This day I love.......

Almost a month ago I wrote about the importance of a good night sleep.  There are things which are obviously beyond our control that prevent us from having a good night sleep. but others can be minimised.  My youngest daughter still has accidents at night, but she is not alone as around 900,000 children or 1 in 4 4 year olds still experience night time bed wetting.  Since my initial post we have been using DryNites®, and this has been giving her the confidence to know she will be getting a good nights sleep.

I have been documenting some of the things we have been trying on our latest Vlog for DryNites® and included an update on how things are progressing.

Little Man seems to be changing so quickly at the minute.  Every day he seems to be developing a new skill or working towards a new milestone.  It seems fitting that to mark the next stage in his development we will be teaming up with GUMIGEM® as one of their Ambassadors.

GUMIGEM® are perfect for Little Man, and a perfect fit for this blog.  They are a UK based family run company who specialise in silicon jewellery.  This is perfect for babies to nibble on, grab, chew and play with.  Although the necklaces are to be worn by an adult and not left with the baby, but the bangles are suitable for independent play.  Little Man is currently in the grab everything and eat it phase, much to his sisters annoyance as he tries to eat their hair.

We are incredibly pleased to be be working with GUMIGEM® over the next 12 months and cannot wait to share with you some of their amazing products over on Instagram, and other social channels.  GUMIGEM® have also recently updated their website which also features the other 9 ambassadors, why not head over and take a look.

Last week I made the very exciting trip to London to meet with the team at Huggies. I am very pleased to announce my partnership with Huggies and I shall be working with them as one of their 'HUGGIES® Pull-Ups®' ambassadors. Both of my girls are potty trained and did so very quickly, part of their success is down to HUGGIES® Pull-Ups®.

Over the next few months I am going to be writing a series of posts on helpful tips for potty training as well as helping to overcome some common problems. The tips along with HUGGIES® Pull-Ups® that are designed to make potty training easier should create a winning combination for your little ones. HUGGIES® Pull-Ups® will help you and your little one say goodbye to nappies and you can visit here to request a free sample.

The HUGGIES® Pull-Ups® I used with my daughter have been improved and now have some great Disney graphics and even a specially designed HUGGIES® Pull-Ups® for night time. They still feature the great stretchy sides which allow them to move with an active toddler and of course can be pulled up and down like real pants.

The other new addition to HUGGIES® Pull-Ups® is the learning liner. The learning liner is rather clever as it allows a toddler to experience a brief sensation of wetness, which aids with their potty training and means it does not act like a nappy which other pull ups do.  HUGGIES® Pull-Ups® are therefore a potty training pant. This aids with a toddlers learning and understanding for potty training.

If there are any problems you are currently facing then please email me any questions and I shall do my best to get the answers and incorporate into the upcoming posts. Thisdayilove@gmail.com

We have recently been asked a rather BIG question.

The team at Mark Warner have asked us

'We would like to know what is your perfect family holiday'

To answer this question it seemed fitting to ask the family

1. Eldest aged 4

Mummy can we go and see Elsa? Can we go somewhere to see Elsa?

When asked but would you not like to go to the seaside and play on the beach in the sun?  I receive the response, No I would like to see Elsa.

So I ask her, It will be cold won't you be cold?

To which she replies singing 'The cold never bothered me anyway'

From this I can conclude her perfect holiday is somewhere cold, and hopefully where she can see Elsa.

2. Youngest aged 2

My youngest simply answers 'Minnie Mouse boat'.  It would appear that her perfect holiday is a Disney Cruise.  However I am pretty sure this is because it featured Minnie Mouse who she is obsessed with and is probably the most recent holiday that she can recall.

When her sister asks her 'Do you want to go see Elsa on holiday?' She replies 'Yes'

Knowing my youngest she loves to copy her sister and loves to try new things.  She also loves her food and loves nothing more than asking for a cup of tea [warm milk] and a biscuit.  Which leads me to believe that as long as her sister is there with her and she can have her cup of tea and a biscuit she would be happy anywhere.

3. The Husband

My husband likes to see new places and try new things.  Going somewhere we have never been before and experiencing the culture.

4. Me

For me the answer is easy, happy girls.  If the girls are happy then I am happy.  The perfect family holiday for me means everything is taken care of, there is no stress, no hassles and I have two happy girls who are safe.

To make the girls happy it would seem I need to take them somewhere cold and where they could see Elsa.  I am guessing seeing a place like Frozen would be good too.  The only thing left for us to do then is to decide where we are going and what new things we will discover

Then pack up our bags and set off on our journey

Today I had the day with my youngest whilst my eldest was at school.  It was nice just spending the day together just the two of us, and we spent our day playing games.

My youngest is 2 years old and has recently started wanting to play with dolls.  One of her favourite things is dressing them, which of course means undressing.  With some dolls this can raise a few questions.  My youngest has a Lottie Doll, which we were sent as we are part of the ambassador program.  We have the Pirate Queen Lottie but there are a huge range of dolls which all follow the motto, Be bold, be Brave and Be you.

Like my daughter Lottie is also two, it was her birthday last month, and she is age appropriate.  There are no tattoos, no makeup or jewelry and her body resembles that of a child.  That is great as it means my girls are not in a rush to grow up.  My daughter loves carrying around Lottie, she is 7" or 18cm tall.

We spent most of the day dressing and undressing Lottie.  As Lottie is flexible my daughter can do this by herself.  She loves all the clothes Lottie has, especially the pirate hat.  After we had got Lottie dressed we had to do her hair.  We brushed it and put in a pony tail, before deciding the hat looked best with nothing in the hair.

Whilst Lottie is recommended for ages 3 -9 my youngest at 2 absolutely adores her.  We play games with Lottie and she sings pirate songs as she plays with her.  She even wanted to take photos of her to show her Grandma and Grandad.

We really love our Lottie doll and I would put it as a recommend for Christmas.  Why not follow Lottie on Facebook or via twitter, @Lottie_dolls, to keep up to date with all Lottie things.

There is a competition which is been hosted by all the brand ambassadors for your chance to win 2 Lottie dolls and 2 accessory packs from the current range

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The competition is open between 14th September and 12th October.
