This day I love.......

The items featured in this post were gifted for the purpose of review, all words are my own honest opinion.

All three of my children are familiar with Baby Born. My youngest daughter in particular loves taking care of her babies. She has part of her bedroom dedicated to them with a cot, highchair and wardrobe all set up. Before she goes to school she gets them washed and dressed, and when she comes home she gets them all ready for bed. What she doesn't know is that Little Man loves to play with them whilst she is at school. He takes such good care of them and his imagination is amazing. He tells me the babies are hungry so he gets them some milk and feeds them. If they cry he gives them a cuddle but his favourite thing to do is bath them.

Whilst not part of the review I wanted to share this video from Baby Born and their dolls are for everyone campaign. The campaign wants to encourage children of all backgrounds and genders to play with dolls. I love this campaign as watching my children play with dolls has helped them to understand empathy and encourages them to develop their nurturing side.

The girls received a Baby born surprise each to review. Each baby comes wrapped in adorable Baby born design blankets, The girls loved these blankets and have kept them for the babies. Which is a great plus as it means less waste too.

As you unwrap the baby you reveal little surprises each time. Using damp water you can open the babies eyes to reveal their colour. Each baby can drink water from the bottle that comes with them. Once they have drunk water they then use their nappies which also change colour to reveal a pattern. Each reveal can be filled in on the birth certificate that comes with the baby.

The girls wanted to create an unwrapping video which can be seen here

This post contains an honest review of items that were gifted to us. No other financial payment has been received.

My youngest daughter has such a mothering instinct. She wants to care and nurture everyone. Every night before I can sit and read with her she gets all of her babies into their PJ and tucks them into bed. All that was missing from her routine was the bath, but none of her babies could really go in the big bath. That is until now.

Baby Born Soft touch doll has a much softer tummy that other Baby born dolls. My daughter has the Baby Born girl and she simply adores her. Baby Born soft touch doll can be fed special baby food, drink water from her bottle and of cause she also wees and cries too. My youngest just loves to take care of her. She can now give her a bath in her very own Baby born bathtub.

The bath tub has clear indicator lines inside to show where the maximum and minimum water fill is. The instructions state to use cold water and mild detergent to make the bubbles for the bath. At the side of the bath tub is a silver button. When this is pressed the bath tub lights up, plays sounds and it also activates the pump for the shower. My daughter absolutely loves this part and finds it great she can properly wash her babies before bed time.

The Baby Born bathtub has got so much appeal that Little Man keeps filling it with water to wash the babies too! He knows exactly how it works and seems to love the shower part.

He seems to love it rather a lot as he is forever carrying the bathtub around the house with him to bath all the different babies.

The Baby Born Bath tub was ready to use straight from the box and all that was needed was some water. My children absolutely love it. My youngest daughter has created a short video to show the bathtub and baby in action.

My youngest daughter loves her babies and she loves to take care of them. She dresses them every morning before school, often before getting herself ready and every night she gets them ready for bed. She keeps telling me she wishes she was older so she can be a proper Mummy. When we got out more often than not we have at least one of her babies with us strapped into the car seat in the car, or in the pushchair when we go for a walk.

To aid her in looking after her babies she now also has a BABY born Wash Basin Water Fun. The BABY born Wash Basin Water Fun allows her to wash her babies and get them clean too. Whilst she is at school Little Man has also taken a liking to the Wash basin, mainly because of the lights and sounds but also because it has real water in it too.

The sink takes a minimal amount of water to work, but it provides hours of fun and also needs batteries. The sink has a removable cup and small pink toothbrush. When you remove this from the basin you hear the noise of brushing teeth. Little Man finds this rather amusing. I do watch him closely the entire time he has the toothbrush as it is rather small because it is designed for brushing Baby Born teeth.

Of course once you have brushed your teeth then it is time to get a wash. By pushing down on the tap water comes out.

Even at 2 years old Little Man can apply enough pressure to make water come out of the tap. Without the plug in the water simply runs back into the basin bowl.

The plug is a little yellow duck, which again Little Man finds really easy to put into the plug hole. This then allows water to stay in the sink so you can then wash your baby.

Once finished you can remove the duck to let the water drain away. There is a handy towel to dry baby or yourself on. Little Man the likes to check he is clean in the mirror, which lights up and plays sounds.

The BABY born Wash Basin Water Fun appeals to both my son at 2 years old and my daughter at nearly 6, so I would say it has a good range of ages. I like that you can use it as a tool to show children how to get ready by brushing teeth and washing faces with the use of their toys. My youngest loves that she has somewhere that is just for her babies and I think Little Man likes the fact he has somewhere to play with water inside! Overall this is a lovely accessory for any child who likes taking care of babies!

Thank you to Baby Born for sending the BABY born Wash Basin Water Fun for us to review, all words are my own opinion.

Today is national sibling day.

The relationships between my three children are all very different. The girls are incredibly close, but with the closeness also comes an intense emotion which can result in arguments. Yet when apart they miss each other terribly. Little Man has a different relationship with each of his sisters, he watches exactly what they do and then copies them. He loves them both so much and rather than distinguishing between them would much rather shout 'Sisters' to gain both of their attention.

They have taught him the joys of jumping and splashing in puddles, he now has to jump in every single one!

When they paint or bake or craft, then he has to do the same.

They taught him how to blow out his candle on his birthday cake.

When they go to school he misses them. He finds their toys, their dolls and their babies and he sits with them.

I do often find it rather amusing he chooses to sit with the BABY Born sister doll, but he seems to like that one the best. Not sure if it's because the doll is bigger than the others, or the fact he sees his sisters playing with her often, or maybe because she can sit down next to him. Whatever it is he seems to enjoy her company.

He gets all excited when I tell him its time to go pick his sisters up from school. He runs to get his shoes and coat and attempts to put them on.

To see the three of them back together is so lovely, he misses his sisters. I feel lucky that I get to watch the bond between the three of them grow as they get older.

We are working with BABY Born for National sibling day.
