This day I love.......

Sunday

My youngest has out grown her toddler bed and so we built her a new single bed today.  This of course also meant we went shopping for bedding for her.  She loves her new bed and spent a while at bedtime looking at everything and taking it all in

Monday

A trip to the vets for spotty dog for another check up, one more check up to go.  I was going to pick a picture showing our day but this one made me giggle.  The girls like to borrow my phone and I keep finding random photos on it, this is one of them.

Tuesday

My youngest and I had a trip into London for the preview of the Cybex Premium range.  She was really well behaved on the train and loved looking at the new collection with me.  She even took the new Pushchairs for a test drive.

Wednesday

It was a rather busy day today.  I started with a bad cold and had little energy.  My youngest wanted to do some painting so I improvised with Mess free painting.  She had loads of fun and it kept her busy for ages

Thursday

Snow day.

Friday

My eldest is wanting to help more and she loves to help in the kitchen

Saturday

I am still full of cold and decided that a run might help me get better.  I hadn't been able to run all week, as I have felt really ill so I needed the fresh air and exercise.  Not sure it was a good idea afterwards but at least I got out and did something

\Sunday

sleepy JSpotty dog was rushed into the emergency vets, so when the girls woke up she wasn't at home.  There were lots of tears and everyone felt it all day.  J seemed to really miss her too and just wanted to cuddle

Monday

Spotty dog and his coneI picked spotty dog up from the vets today.  At first she was unsure of the cone of shame, until she discovered she could use it to hide food.

Tuesday

Valentines messy playEldest and I had great fun with messy play.  We used shampoo and our dough smelt fantastic and was lovely and soft.  My eldest wanted to use Love heart cutters so it made for a wonderful Valentines Day play.

Wednesday

throwing snow ballsThe day the snow came.  What better way to start the day than a snow fight.  Whilst I appreciate this is not the best photo, I just love my daughters expression as she is about to throw a snow ball

Thursday

sleepy spotty dogSpotty dog is recovering slowly.  She likes to have a lot of rest at the moment, as the smallest amount of energy seems to tire her out.

Friday

cheeky monkeyI just love this little monkey.  She jumped on my knee and started throwing my nose. [the game toddlers play where you pretend to steal a nose and throw it away]

Saturday

music in the roundWe had a day out listening to music with Music in the round and their show Crazy creatures.  My eldest got really engrossed and loved the whole show, my youngest is too restless and would not sit still.

You will have to excuse the lack of posts over the weekend, spotty dog was very poorly.

J woke me up at 4am barking, which is unlike him.  Just his usual 2 warning barks, followed by a loud crash.  I went downstairs but things seemed normal, I gave the dogs some water then let them outside.  Later Saturday morning all was fine, we had our usual morning cuddles and everything was as it should be.

Our day progressed and nothing seemed too out of the ordinary.  Spotty dog was a little tired but she had had a busy day Friday and we put it down to this.  The evening came I put the girls to bed, wrote my 365 and then spotty dog got very poorly.  She started to be sick.  We began cleaning up and she would be sick straight away again.  It got worse, she refused to drink and eat.  My husband rushed her to the emergency vet.

My husband left his house keys in the rush and so I had to wait up for him.  To be fair I could not sleep anyway.  He came home and we had to wait for some test results.  The vet rang at 1am, it didn't look good.  Blood tests were boarding on abnormal and there were signs of a major problem in her intestine.  Unfortunately they could not be certain unless they operated.

The next call came at 2.30 am, her small intestines had flipped and become twisted.  The surgery had managed to untwist them and she was recovering well.  7 am still recovering but seems to be sleeping off surgery.

The tears then came as the girls woke up and realised spotty dog was not at home.  They wanted to go and see her to make sure she was ok.  I rang the vets and they agreed.  We spent Sunday visiting spotty dog in the vets.  I took the girls round to Grandma and Grandad after so they could take their mind off spotty dog and it seemed to work.  J  however got very cuddly and I think he missed her

 J all cuddly

7 am this morning we got a call to say spotty dog can come home.  The girls were so happy, we had all really missed her.

She is home now and trying to get used to wearing her new accessory.

It is safe to say we have all missed spotty dog and glad she is home.

I had to pop out today to pick up a few things.  With it half term at the moment everywhere is pretty busy.  The nice thing though is that there tends to be more entertainment on for the children.  Whilst in the local shopping centre I came across a lady making balloon models.  My eldest daughter was fascinated by her and wanted to stay and watch.  She was given a balloon dog with a lead.

Well that was it.  For the rest of the day my eldest walked this balloon dog everywhere.  She wanted to be careful with him so he spent most of his time flying than walking

Balloon dog

She took him to the vets, as our dog needed a check up.  The balloon dog came to the dry cleaners and my eldest told everyone he was having a walk in the sky, as she kindly pointed out that dogs cannot fly.  She took him to the train station and to the supermarket.  He even came with us to pick up my youngest from nursery.  She then put balloon dog in his own bed, but told me not to take a picture in case he woke up.

My youngest later woke him up

This day I love Balloon dog.
