This day I love.......

The girls were fast asleep and not impressed with my 5am wake up call.  However we had a train to catch to London for a rather fun event!

We had been invited by Actimel kids to have breakfast with them and to start the day right with Yoga.

The girls loved the breakfast and tucked into all the different fruit and also got to try some Actimel for kids.

Their favourite flavours are Raspberry and Apricot.  They soon realised that the bottles glow in the dark and with three good characters, Ac, Ti and Mel and three alien characters they were soon choosing their favourites.

After breakfast it was time for Yoga, something neither girl had done yoga before.  First we had to focus on our breathing

Before we took part in the exercises.  I was so proud of my eldest when she volunteered to go up to the front to take part!

I have never seen the girls so still and quiet before, my eldest in particular I think really enjoyed Yoga.

After Yoga the girls learnt all about the importance of a well balanced diet and about nutrition.  They listened and took it in before they were given the chance to make their own smoothies.  The girls love making smoothies at home and got to try smoothies using Actimel.

After the event we made our way back to the train station and had various options for lunch, I wanted to eat at Leon as it is my treat when we go to London and I was surprised when the girls wanted to eat here too.  Seemingly they were listening to the nutrition talk.

It was finally time to catch our train home and what an exciting day it had been

This day I love Actimel Back to school

As a mum I know how hard it can be to fit exercise into daily life. Some evenings after the bed time struggle exercise is the last thing on your mind, especially going out the house to a gym. In fact I really am not a gym person, I am far too self conscious and don't like to exercise in front of others.

Mummy workout offers a solution to this. Workout classes with a professional instructor in the comfort of your own home. Their are currently 5 workout classes of 4 types leg bums and tums, total body, stretch and yogi and their are 2 instructors. In the future there will be the ability to attend a pre recorded class but at the moment all classes are live.

Mummy workouts

Joining in with a class is easy simply press join this class at the start time and you will then be able to see your instructor live in a video feed, s little like a Skype chat, and the class begins. I have to admit to not feeling very comfortable with having a webcam on me, but no other students can see this camera it is simply for the instructor. The instructor can then see how you are doing on each exercise.

The classes are fun but they are hard work. I was a real sweaty mess after total body. I found the yoga class too difficult as I suffer with weak wrists. I broke both wrists as a child and cannot place that much pressure on them. I would say 25mins of the 30 minute class involved almost all body weight on wrists and my wrists are still in pain the day after this class.  The stretch class was really relaxing and gave a good overall stretch.

Overall mummy workout is a great idea for those who are busy and struggle to find time going to the gym. The addition of roe recorded classes will be fantastic. If you would like to try mummy workouts for 7 days click here.

This week has been such a roller-coaster of emotions.  I have felt low for most of the week and just wanted to stay away from either online or real life people.  I can only apologies for my absence.  Normal service will resume.

Sunday

Bottoms up for juicingI spent the day at a bloggers event in Leeds.  #introjuicing was hosted by Currys and was a great day out.  We got to try some amazing juices, and do some Yoga.  I had never seen so much fruit.  I won an Instagram competition with this photo and won a juicer.  I have spent most of the week juicing things

Monday

Spotty dog sleepingSpent the day catching up with work and generally keeping myself busy.  The start of February is never easy and I just had to do things to take my mind of the week ahead.  Spotty dog is back to normal and up to creating mischief as normal.

Tuesday

sisters graveToday would have been my sisters 30th Birthday.

Wednesday

hiding in cupboardsI had to go to b and q to pick up a few pieces.  After 3 years of living with the hallway carpet we have finally saved up enough to get it replaced.  It needed replacing when we moved in and it feels so much better now it is finally done.  My youngest got a little bored in b and q and took to hiding in the kitchen cupboard displays.

Thursday

Weetabix strawberryWe received a new breakfast cereal to try and I have to say I really like it.  Will be publishing a review soon

 Friday

winter sun funThe winter sun was so beautiful you would be forgiven in thinking it was Summer day.  My youngest had so much fun exploring the woods near us.  Kicking leaves and stomping in mud, it was a great afternoon.

Saturday

parkrun viewAn early Saturday morning start.  I ran my third park run today.  Not sure why but today it felt hard.  I got heart burn half way round and had to walk for a bit which I don't normally do.  I did manage a PB so I must have been running fast.

One of the great sides of blogging is blogging events.  They are a great way to meet new bloggers and brands.  The lovely team at Joe Bloggers had organised a introjuicing bloggers event.  The event gave us the opportunity to try juice, learn about nutrition, play with juicers and do some Yoga.  You can read more about the day here.

I arrived at the event and could not believe the amount of fruit and vegetables in front of me.  They were all so pretty under the sun streaming through the windows.

fruit and veg

We were split into groups and first I got to try out Rocket Yoga.

bloggers do yoga

It would appear that you can take a group of bloggers to yoga, yet they will all assume the same position.  I must admit to having my phone by the side of my mat too.  Whilst doing Yoga I noticed how pretty the lights were and had to take a photo.

Next we got the chance to play with the juicers.  They were so much fun and it was great putting different flavours together just to try.  I love Lime so made a few sour tasting juices but loved each of them.  It was great to hear from a nutritional view point too, and was given several recipes to try at home.

I don't think I have ever drunk so much juice before and I certainly had my monthly allowance of fruit and veg.  If you would like to check out some photos of the day have a look on instagram with the hashtag #Currysintrojuicing

Thank you to Currys and to Joe bloggers for a great day.
