This day I love.......

My name is Spotty Dog.  This time last year I was in the RSPCA after a person dumped me and the rest of my litter.  I am not a pure bred Dalmatian and but my Mummy loves my unique look and how I am the only one that looks like me.  My Mummy takes good care of me and she knows what I like and what I do not like.

One of my favourite games to play is hide and seek.  This is my favourite hiding spot and I often take things from the house and hide them here.

I love to join in the activities with my little people.  They love to play with me too.  I haven't yet quite mastered painting but I will one day.

Any food that is left in my reach is mine, or anything which smells like food.  I don't like it when my Mummy tells me not to eat things but she does give me treats if I am a good girl

I love finding new things to play with.  When my Mummy goes shopping sometimes she comes back with these white rolls.  They are so much fun.  I can chase them and jump on them and they make lots of little pieces for me to then play with.

Mummy loves to run and I love to run with my Mummy

In fact I get so happy I bounce all over

There is one thing though that I really do not like and that is water! It is my biggest #Pethate. My Mummy only has one photo of me in water.  When I was a puppy I fell into a lake, it was cold and I could not get out, Mummy rescued me.  Since then I will not go in the bath, the shower and I run away for any form of water, in fact I will jump over puddles.

Lucky for me I have a Mummy who loves me and so if I do encounter any water I know that I can cuddle up on my Mummies knee and she will make it all better

The RSPCA is where I started my life and I was fortunate enough to find a forever home.  The RSPCA help to protect those animals less fortunate them me.  By protecting your dog or cat with the RSPCA and their partnership with MORE TH>N Insurance, each policy sold donates £20 to the charity.

We went on a little adventure today.  The girls needed to get out the house and the dogs needed a walk so we decided to venture a little further and explore the woods.  The girls were excited and kept stopping on the benches to pose for their picture taking.

all say cheese

The girls loved running off to explore, and then run with such determination back to me, before running off again

running with determination

We had a great time exploring.  After we returned home we spent the afternoon in the garden, where I have to confess to spending most of my time looking for spotty dog who had took to hiding.

My youngest kept hiding today, she wanted to play on her computer and I wanted to play.  She kept running away and hiding until I would find her and she would go somewhere else.  Eventually though she came around and we played hide and seek.

Her version of hide and seek is to tell you where to hide, then count to 10 and come and get you.  Eventually she lets you count and upon hearing 'ready or not here I come' she tells you where she is.  I love looking for her though so pretend not to hear and can hear her giggling away as I try to find her.

Whilst on holiday Save the children held their den building week. The week aimed to raise awareness of how children in other parts of the world live. Many children took part in the event and it gave my two a perfect opportunity to unleash their imaginations and build a den.

At home we build dens under the table, with sheets and blankets and of course with card board boxes but on holiday this gave us a new challenge and a new opportunity to be creative. The girls had some creative ideas including building a den in the swimming pool. Logistically this was a little challenging so we opted to build our den on the garden.

Building holiday den
Our den may not have been much to look at but it provided a welcome shady place to hide in from the warm sun. We used sun beds and towels to build our den. The perfect holiday hideaway! The girls loved swimming in the pool and then hiding in the den. The den made a great adventure and was welcomed to play in whilst on holiday.

Did you build a den for save the children? Feel free to tweet me some pictures or share them on facebook.

The dogs have had so much fun today in the garden.  There are currently some empty planters in our garden, I am waiting the veg to plant in them.  Spotty dog discovered that she could fit in them and hide, so she did.  J looked everywhere for her and she would jump out to chase him, then hide back in the planter again.  It was really funny to watch.

Can you see Spotty dog?

Can you find spotty dog?

Here I am!

This week has been such a roller-coaster of emotions.  I have felt low for most of the week and just wanted to stay away from either online or real life people.  I can only apologies for my absence.  Normal service will resume.

Sunday

Bottoms up for juicingI spent the day at a bloggers event in Leeds.  #introjuicing was hosted by Currys and was a great day out.  We got to try some amazing juices, and do some Yoga.  I had never seen so much fruit.  I won an Instagram competition with this photo and won a juicer.  I have spent most of the week juicing things

Monday

Spotty dog sleepingSpent the day catching up with work and generally keeping myself busy.  The start of February is never easy and I just had to do things to take my mind of the week ahead.  Spotty dog is back to normal and up to creating mischief as normal.

Tuesday

sisters graveToday would have been my sisters 30th Birthday.

Wednesday

hiding in cupboardsI had to go to b and q to pick up a few pieces.  After 3 years of living with the hallway carpet we have finally saved up enough to get it replaced.  It needed replacing when we moved in and it feels so much better now it is finally done.  My youngest got a little bored in b and q and took to hiding in the kitchen cupboard displays.

Thursday

Weetabix strawberryWe received a new breakfast cereal to try and I have to say I really like it.  Will be publishing a review soon

 Friday

winter sun funThe winter sun was so beautiful you would be forgiven in thinking it was Summer day.  My youngest had so much fun exploring the woods near us.  Kicking leaves and stomping in mud, it was a great afternoon.

Saturday

parkrun viewAn early Saturday morning start.  I ran my third park run today.  Not sure why but today it felt hard.  I got heart burn half way round and had to walk for a bit which I don't normally do.  I did manage a PB so I must have been running fast.
