This day I love.......

Dear Cloud B

We met back at the end of March and I wanted to say Thank you.  You gave me a Twilight Buddies Bunny to review for my youngest and I never realised how much I needed it until tonight.  You see my youngest recently gave up her dummy and whilst the days are no longer a problem, the nights were getting worse.

Most nights she would settle OK, but more frequently she would wake in the night.  She would wake screaming and be very unsettled.  The screaming would last for up to 2 hours and nothing would settle her.  She was looking for that comfort she used to get from her dummy.

Her comfort she has now found in her Twilight Buddy.  Her constant buddy that is always by the side of her bed.  One she can find in the night and turn her room from darkness into magical.  Her comfort in the dark.  The stars on her ceiling acting as a welcome distraction from her thinking about sleep.  Watching them as she drifts into a peaceful sleep.  Her rabbit.  Soft and cuddly, giving her that comfort she longs for in the dark.

Thank you Cloud B, you have given my daughter that comfort she so desperately needed.  You have transformed her room into a magical and peaceful place for her to sleep.  For that I am truly grateful.

Cloud B

We were given a cloud B Bunny to review.  All words and opinions are my own.

Easter feels like such a long time ago now, yet this post has been sat in Drafts since then waiting to be completed.  I think I owe it to finish it off.

We had such a wonderful Easter this year.  Both girls are now starting to get excited by the Easter Bunny coming and both knew there would be chocolate.  I picked the girls up from Nursery and my youngest had made some Easter bunny ears which she insisted on wearing

Good Friday was lovely and sunny.  We spent the day playing out in the garden and really enjoying ourselves.  The ice cream van [lolly bus as we call it] made a welcome stop.

I like to give my girls something other than chocolate for Easter.  They do get a couple of chocolate things from me, but more from family members.  This year we went to see Cbeebies Big Band as our Easter Treat.  The show was amazing, full of music, action and lots of laughs.  My eldest daughter loved it and I even caught my youngest joining in.  My eldest keeps talking about how we helped Mister Maker build a house.  After the show she told me she loves Mister Maker.

Our Easter Sunday always begins with an Easter egg hunt.  I love the expression on my youngest face as she discovers there are chocolate eggs inside.

We then head over to Kirklees light Rail to ride the Easter Eggspress.  Well we have to thank the Easter Bunny for our eggs.  My youngest spotted him from the train

Both girls were really excited and they both said hello to the Easter bunny.

Of course no Easter would be complete without some Easter crafts....

Or a donkey ride!

The girls had done so much already on Easter Sunday, but there was one thing left to do.  Attend one of our friends birthday parties at an indoor soft play.

After all the excitement of the past few days the girls slept really well.  It was time for Easter Monday and there was no better way than to spend it relaxing with the family, oh and eating cake

Hope you all had a lovely Easter too.

This day I love Easter Fun.

It has been a while since my Last 365 post, hopefully my apology will help to explain things.  The week has been a rather interesting one.  It was my final week at work and whilst I am in some ways sad to be leaving I am really looking forward to starting my new job and the new experience it will bring.  The week started off with some lovely sunny weather which saw us having our first picnic of the year.  This was at the request of my eldest and it was great fun.

The rest of the week was spent very similar, playing in the garden, playing lots of board games and generally having fun.  I managed to box everything up to be sent back to work, just in time!  My favourite pictures of the week are below one from our picnic and the other my very own Easter bunny in her bunny hat she made!

Hope you have a happy Easter!

Sunday

We took the girls for a day out to Yorkshire Wildlife park.  Both my girls were very brave and stroked a Wallaby.  We had a really lovely time looking at all the different animals.

Monday

I was very sad today.  I sold the nursery furniture and today they came to pick it up.  It had to go as my youngest could climb out of the cot and we had no need for the wardrobe after moving house, as the rooms all have fitted wardrobes.  I was very emotionally attached to the furniture and I think by selling it its admitting that there will be no more babies.  My youngest is now in a toddler bed, which she loves.

Tuesday

My daughter found a slug, or as she called it a big worm.  She wanted to bring it in the house and put it in her bed as a pet, I had to discourage the idea.

Wednesday

We have not seen the cat at nursery for some time.  My girls were very happy to see it had come back and ran over to stroke it.  The cat tolerated it for a little while, before deciding enough.

Thursday

My youngest is now copying everything.  Her favourite thing to do at the moment is to put a nappy onto all her toys.  Bunny is her favourite and so he tends to have his nappy done all the time.

Friday

The new car arrived and my girls wasted no time in finding the radio button.  If you have not yet seen the video its http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bAmkGkd2z8&list=HL1377986722

Saturday

My youngest is refusing to day nap.  So come 6 she was a little tired and went for a lie down in the dogs bed.

Bunny goes everywhere with my daughter.

He goes to nursery, on every trip, in the car and of course to bed.  Bunny is her favourite thing in the whole world.
bunny in the car

Bunny attempts to get in the bath and the shower and much to my daughters annoyance has to sit on the side.

Bunny has his nappy changed, his fur brushed and even sits at the table.  Bunny is her best friend

Imagine what happened when we lost bunny.  He was no where to be found.  We searched everywhere.  Emptied the laundry bag, checked all the bins, there was no bunny.

We looked in the car, rang nursery, checked the street, the garden and even the fridge.  No bunny.

No bunny anywhere.

There were a lot of tears.  Where was bunny?  Our dog looked on wanting to help but not understanding what was happening.

We went to fetch a cloth to clean up, there was bunny fast asleep in the towels.  We found him.

My daughter said ' Its just like my book Mummy'

My eldest had remembered a book we have been reading, 'The bunny that could not be Found' by Angela Mitchell.  She was right it is just like the book.  It goes to show how much she must enjoy reading it and how much she is taking in if she can relate a real life example to a story book.

I love reading the book to her too, I find it a very amusing story and one which I am more than happy to read to her.

I am so please my daughter has a passion for reading and is thinking about situations and relating them to the real world.  I am also glad that just like the book we found bunny!

This day I love bunny.

My youngest could not believe her luck this morning chocolate for breakfast

The girls loved running round the house gathering the plastic eggs the Easter bunny had hidden.  They brought them all back

Of course it would not be Easter without some Rabbit ears

My eldest loved Easter and so we went for a ride to say thank you to the Easter bunny.  We boarded the Easter Eggspress

Whilst on the train we managed to capture a family picture

The Easter bunny needed our help to find his carrots, so we looked and returned them to him.  As a thank you he gave us some chocolate.

We took part in the Egg and spoon race

I was very proud of her as she normally is shy around characters.  We had a little time to play with the indoor wooden trains before catching our train back

With my eldest daughter very much into pirates and pirate treasure she loved the idea of hunting for treasure. Off we went to Wentworth Castle.  The girls and I had been before at Christmas and we had such a fantastic time that I could not wait to take them back again, we were not disappointed.

My eldest was given a map which we had to follow to find the missing egg people.  Off we went

Easter Bunny house

Our first clue was at Easter bunny house.  My eldest drew the answer and we continued on our way

We looked high and low for all the egg people

We saw some sheep and a lovely tree

My eldest and I even climbed up a tree

There were plenty of puddles to splash in and even a castle to explore

We completed our treasure hunt and handed in our answers.  My eldest was given a chocolate Easter egg and my youngest was given a flashing chicken

As we had just experienced hail, snow, blizzard snow, high winds, and rain we decided to stay in doors to warm up and do some of the craft activities

 Easter craft

My eldest not so long ago had a balloon dog, sadly balloon dog came to an end due to the sharp teeth of a now 10 month old.  Today at the Easter activities a lady was making balloon animals.  I have to say I have never met a lady so talented at balloon modelling.  She made my eldest a balloon bee.  Balloon bee then came every where

After all the craft, exploring and treasure hunt there was only one thing left to do, play at the park

I have had such a lovely day with the girls and it was really lovely for the sun to come out in the afternoon.

Of course it would not be Easter without a glimpse of the Easter bunny
