This day I love.......

We take lots of digital photos but it is not very often we print them. I love looking through our photos and love having the physical copy of the photo to look through. My photos however are stored all over the digital world from Instagram to Facebook, g+ to Dropbox and even on SD cards. Organising them can be a nightmare.

With Father's Day round the corner I have been looking at creating a unique gift for the girls grandad. I want to create a memory book of the girls which they can give to him on Father's Day. One of the simplest ways for me to do this is using Imprify.

Imprify is an app which allows you to create photo books using images stored on a facebook, Instagram, Dropbox or your mobile device. The app is available for both android and ios. The layout is quick and simple to use so a photobook can be created within minutes. Perfect for when you are short of time. Imprify also allows you to then share your photobook on facebook or via what's app or you can opt to print a physical copy. You can add comments, dedications and customise the photos making it a truly personal book.

Girls play snap

I cannot wait for my Imprify book to arrive it takes 3 days worldwide, the app was really easy to use and such a clever idea for digital photos. A perfect way to create memories and share them with family and friends.  If you would like to create yours I have 20% discount code: 01C517.

I have been provided a code to create my own imprify book, all words are my own opinion

Whilst on holiday Save the children held their den building week. The week aimed to raise awareness of how children in other parts of the world live. Many children took part in the event and it gave my two a perfect opportunity to unleash their imaginations and build a den.

At home we build dens under the table, with sheets and blankets and of course with card board boxes but on holiday this gave us a new challenge and a new opportunity to be creative. The girls had some creative ideas including building a den in the swimming pool. Logistically this was a little challenging so we opted to build our den on the garden.

Building holiday den
Our den may not have been much to look at but it provided a welcome shady place to hide in from the warm sun. We used sun beds and towels to build our den. The perfect holiday hideaway! The girls loved swimming in the pool and then hiding in the den. The den made a great adventure and was welcomed to play in whilst on holiday.

Did you build a den for save the children? Feel free to tweet me some pictures or share them on facebook.

My youngest likes her food, she always has.  She isn't greedy and stops when she is full, but she does enjoy eating.  She likes to eat in peace and quiet and doesn't really like to share.  She really doesn't like it when our dog tries to take her food and does what she can to eat in peace

Anthony the anteater has a similar problem.  He likes his food and wants to sit down and enjoy it.  Problem is every time he sits down to enjoy his food the ants have a habit of carrying it away.  Poor Anthony.  Anthony comes up with an idea to take his food far away.  The ants however have a better idea

They decide to share, just like the girls do [sometimes!]

Anthony and the ants by Gemma Raynor is a beautiful book which gives an important message at the end.

This book is part of the May Book Buddy from Parragon Books.  All words and opinions are my own.

For some unknown reason my youngest today has worked out that if she has food the dog will follow her.  She has also worked out that she can follow him in her walker or by crawling.  As I sometimes give her bits to eat whilst she is in her walker, to keep her entertained, she has started following the dog around with one arm out stretched with food in it to make him come to her.  She then says gaga and gives him food.

What is even sweeter is she is now snapping food that she can in half so she can give a bit to the dog and a bit for her.  I think its an early start on sharing.  I caught her today snapping a biscuit and then trying to find the dog to give it to.  She has a piece in either hand.

My eldest will now say my turn, baby turn or baby first so she knows when to wait and when its her turn which is great for playing games and sharing.  Her signing has started to increase as well as she I think is trying to communicate with her sister.  When she is learning a new word and we are not sure what it is she signs it to be understood, I think its a similar principle.

Today I watched as she sat down with her dolls and read them all a book before bed time.  It was such a gorgeous moment and one I am glad I captured.  She told her dolls about Santa, his red coat, boots and white beard.  She shivered and went brr when she showed them the snow and she said the postman brings all the letters.
