This day I love.......

A few weeks ago the girls received a new pair of sandals from Teva, but the weather did nothing but rain.

We all looked longingly at the sky praying for sunshine, and it would seem the sun came out just in time for the school holidays.

Currently on our fourth day of the school holidays and our Teva sandals have not left our feet [well except when we are in the house].  The girls have played football, played on the swings and slides, gone running, played on the trampoline and walked with me to the Doctors and the library.  Neither of the girls has complained once about their feet, no red marks, no rubbing and no sweaty feet.

Both girls can easily put on their Teva sandals, and they love that Mummy and Daddy have a pair just like theirs too.

I am very fussy when it comes to foot wear.  I live in trainers, and do not tend to wear flip flops or sandals.  I do have to say that Teva have converted me, they are incredibly comfy to wear and my feet have not felt hot or sweaty in them.

Little Man cannot wait to be bigger so he can have a pair too

I cannot thank Teva enough for sending the sandals to review.  They are incredibly comfortable, and are perfect for this hot weather.

The new Brother Max 6 in 1 Thermometer will be coming to stores from 1st March and has a RRP of £59.99.  This is a really innovative projection thermometer that we have had rather a lot of fun testing.

Brother Max 6 in 1 thermometer

Everything you need comes in the box, including the batteries which means that it can be used straight away.  The 6 in 1 thermometer is simple to use, 3 buttons on the front.  1 for forehead and 1 which displays the temperature in memory and a final one for other temperatures.  The 6 in 1 thermometer can take the temperature of bath water, liquids, food, skin, room temperature and forehead.  This is simply fantastic as it means 1 product is needed to test everything, instead of lots of different thermometers.  The 6 in 1 thermometer is light weight, a fantastic size to hold and really easy to store.

the brother max 6 in 1 thermometer

The thermometer projects the temperature of the item measured which means it is contact less.  This is not only much more hygienic than traditional thermometers but also much easier to use.  There are no struggles trying to get the thermometer into the right place, or to get a child to sit still and  the temperature can even be taken when your child is asleep.

As the thermometer is so simple to use my youngest daughter even knows how to use it.  When she came home from school today she decide to play doctors and test how hot Mummy was, then how hot baby was and final how hot she was.

Using the 6 in 1 thermometer is childs play

This innovative product is certainly going to make life a lot easier with Thing 3, and as you can have lots of fun with it the girls are also really willing to have their temperature taken so no struggles when it has to be done!

We were sent the 6 in 1 thermometer for review, all words are my own opinion.

The Sunuva website oozes summer. Every time I visit it I want to go on holiday. The beautiful patterns and prints are designed and made in UK and appear to be of the highest quality. When our parcel arrived from Sunuva we were very excited to open and see what was inside, my youngest daughter was really pleased.

trying on our Sunuva hat

The girls were kindly sent a hat, dress and shoes each for our holiday. The dresses are light weight, with beautiful details and embroidery and kept the girls cool in the hot 30c sunshine. Both girls wanted to wear their dresses every night and they are a beautiful fit for them. Allowing the freedom of movement and room to play.

On their feet the girls wore stylish espadrilles from Sunuva, who have teamed up with Soludos. The soles are an eco friendly jute to keep feet dry. The shoes were soft and comfortable to wear and the girls wore them for the flights. They were great for the beach or simply staying by the pool and gave their feet protection from the hot sun yet kept them cool.

To top off their outfits the girls each had a straw cowboy hat from Sunuva. The hats complimented either their dresses or shoes with gorgeous patterns. The rim of the hats large enough to keep their necks shaded too. Both girls wanted to wear their hats which is important to do in the hot sun, and particularly so on the beach.

The girls looked gorgeous in their Sunuva outfits and were kept safe and cool from the hot sun.

Sunuva kindly sent each girl the outfits mentioned, words are my own personal opinion

Menopause is a period in every woman’s life that lasts from 15 to 20 years (beginning around age of 45, ending during 60s). During this period, female body goes through transition from being capable to bear child to losing this function. It is especially notable because function of the ovaries stops at this time. However, these changes also affect other systems within the body. Also, during this period, women will lose her menstruation. Loss of this function usually happens within 2 years starting around age of 47.

Biologically, even though woman is getting older, hypophysis continues production of all necessary substances. However, ovaries are getting older and less capable of responding to stimuli received from hypophysis. Because of this, matters that are being produced by ovaries such as estrogen and progesterone are no longer being made.  Change itself is not the problem. Body simply cannot allow itself to give birth to babies. In a sense, menopause is a way for organism to protect itself. However, even though this is normal, symptoms that are created during menopause can be quite annoying.

First thing that comes into mind when we mentioned menopausal disturbances are hot flashes. Besides this, women will experience, dizziness, headache, pain in joints and many other physical and mental issues. When we talk about long term effect of estrogen loss, most women need to face osteoporosis or loss of bone density. Hot flashes can be described as upward heat waves coming from stomach to head. Women can go red, start sweating and when the episode is over, she might feel chills.

This can last from couple of seconds to half an hour. Some people experience hot flashes couple of time per day. During night, they can cause insomnia and night sweat. Treatment of hot flashes is done by using medicines. Buy Estrogel online to quickly get rid of this menopausal nuisance. However, have in mind that entire process needs to be controlled by your doctor because hormonal drugs can lead to cancer.

During menopause, physical changes are also occurring inside a vagina. Lack of hormone deprives vagina from acidity making it susceptible to infections. Estrogen also contributes to maintaining moist within vaginal walls. Due to low of estrogen, organ is no longer able to lubricate itself. Because of this, vagina will lose its natural properties resulting in painful intercourse.  Unfortunately, vaginal dryness together with bad communication with partner may lead to loss of libido.

Specialists from You! Drugstore recommend Estrogel. This drug is excellent for eliminating symptoms of hot flashes and vaginal dryness. It comes in form of a gel and it needs to be applied on skin. But, patient needs to be careful not to put it on damaged, irritated, infected skin. People who have liver disease, bleeding or clotting issues, heart issues vaginal bleeding, breast or uterine cancer, should avoid this medicine. Estrogel needs to be used under careful doctor’s supervision. Medicine is quite volatile and it can cause irritations, pain, fast heartbeat, cancer, sore skin and many other issues.

I remember going to the caravan at weekends and my Grandad always had a Thermos flask. I remember the plain design with the red cup, and to be honest it wasn't very inspiring and a little bit 80's. The image of Thermos has stuck with me through the years, I still think of them as the flask with the cup on top, so imagine my surprise when I saw the new designs.

The new designs are sleek, modern and I even posted a picture on Instagram with no one able to guess the brand. This goes to show the changes Thermos has gone through. I was sent two items from the new Thermos range hydration bottle and Stainless King 470ml Vacuum Insulated Travel Tumbler.

My husband is a huge tea drinker, in fact I think there is more tea in his system than blood. I knew the Stainless King 470ml Vacuum Insulated Travel Tumbler would be perfect for him. We recently visited Scotland and it was a 7 hour drive. We did get stuck in a traffic jam due to an accident. My husband made himself some tea before we set off and there was still some left when we arrived. As he isn't too fussy as to the temperature of the tea, he took a drink upon arrival. His reaction was brilliant. His face light up, it's still hot. He couldn't believe it, his tea was still hot. Yes it wasn't as hot as it was when he made it but it wasn't cold, it wasn't Luke warm, it was hot. He now takes his thermos Stainless King 470ml Vacuum Insulated Travel Tumbler everywhere he goes, and it looks stylish too.

I have been told numerous times I don't drink enough. The thing is though is I am never thirsty, if I am thirsty I drink if not i don't. However in an attempt to get healthy I am drinking more water. The Thermos hydration bottle is perfect for this. It features a handy slider to tell you how much you have drunk. And to be honest it's now become a bit of a competition. Can I drink more than I did yesterday?

I love the design of the bottle and there is no way I would guess it was Thermos. The lid has a handy clip which keeps it spill proof and it is a great size to pack in my bag. I have taken it with me running, walking and even on long journeys in the car. I no longer have an excuse for not drinking.

I was provided with both items from Thermos for review.  All opinions are my own

Once a week it's just me and Jasper as the girls are in nursery.  It is on this day that I go for a real exploring walk and I think J enjoys the walk without having to avoid a pushchair.  Plus we get to have a bit of a run.  This week however he would not budge.  I tried everything and he did not want to go, I think it must be the heat.

After a lot of persuasion I finally got him to move and we set off on our exploration.  He soon became too hot and I realised we had almost walked 4 miles.  It doesn't sound much but in the hot sunshine I think J felt it.  I decided to let him cool off in the stream and he took great pleasure in having a swim.

He began chasing and jumping on the leaves floating on the water, trying to dig the stones and catch the little fish in the stream.

I loved watching him cool down and secretly wished I could jump in too

This day I love me and J

Our local council recently renovated the town hall and surrounding area.  In doing so they removed a short stay car park, maximum stay 1 hour and parked around 15 cars, and replaced it with some water fountains and seating.  I heard lots of people complain at the time about how our council tax money was being spent, but whenever I have driven past, night or day, there have always been people by the fountains.

I don't miss the car park, if I am truly honest there is plenty of short stay car parking near by.  I do love the fountains though, they create a real community feel to the town hall.  People come and sit on the benches and watch the fountains and I think it looks a lot better than before.

I took the girls to the fountains for the first time.  I knew they would like them but just wasn't quite prepared for how much and with hindsight should have taken some spare clothes.

The girls watched the fountains change height and ran under the arches.  They watched and waited for them to start.  They began to get braver and more daring the more time we spent there.

The girls playing with the fountains

Both girls got soaked.  They did not want to stop playing with the fountains and they giggled the whole time.

Youngest being brave

It was lovely to watch them play together and a perfect way to cool down on a summer day.

This day I love fountains.
