This day I love.......

Sunday

girls after junior park runThe girls are taking more of an interest in Mummy running.  I like to encourage this as I think it is great for kids to be involved in physical activities and to be active.  I found a local running event for children and we took the girls on Sunday morning.  They both loved it and have asked to go again

Monday

Walk in the eveningI accidentally broke my blog.  Which resulted in the rest of the week all spare time going into trying to fix it, which fingers crossed it appears to be.  After school I took my eldest for a walk, we both needed some fresh air.  We went in search of some muddy puddles and it was nice to spend some time with her

Tuesday

crating with carpet rightI attended a really great blogging event with Carpet right.  We were challenged to craft with carpet.  It was great to see all the creative ideas the other bloggers came up with and to put my creative mind to the test.

Wednesday

Girls cuddled upI caught the girls having a little cuddle whilst watching a film.  It is lovely to see the two of them cuddled together.

Thursday

snow dropsI finally found some snow drops!

Friday

pomegranate chickenNot the best picture in the world, but I was experimenting with food and in particular pomegranate.  I made a pomegranate marinade to use over the chicken and it was really tasty.

Saturday

Valentines Park runI started off Valentines morning on a Park run.  The course was lined with heart balloons and many of the runners were in fancy dress.  I got another PB and finally managed a 5K in under 30 minutes!

Sunday

beautiful muddy faceMy youngest is rather accident prone.  We had taken a walk round the country park with the dogs, my youngest tripped over her own feet and fell face first into the first muddy puddle.  She was covered in mud.  We had a cuddle and a giggle and she soon ran off playing again.

Monday

testing body washMy eldest is trying some new wash for her eczema and after swimming seemed a great time to give it a go

Tuesday

admiring the viewI needed to clear my head and get some thinking space.  I took the dogs on a walk and it was just lovely to admire the views.

Wednesday

Soft play rope bridgeI needed to make it up to the girls after such a rubbish week so far.  I took my youngest to do something she would love, soft play.  It was actually really therapeutic and lovely to hear her giggling and having fun.  This photo reminds me of a silent Sunday from back in October 2013

Thursday

Late night in the carIt was another really busy day today.  I had meetings with clients all day which all ran over.  Really good meetings and fingers crossed they both happen as it would be amazing.  As a result the only picture I managed was of my eldest in the car as we went to pick up her sister from nursery

Friday

Posing in the woods'Take a picture Mummy' The first time she has asked me to actually take a photo of her.

Both of my girls love mud.  My youngest has to splash in every puddle she walks past.  She runs at them shouting 'cuddles' 'cuddles'.  If you try to say puddles she says no, cuddles.  Which made we wonder why.  I thought at first it might be she is mishearing me or perhaps pronouncing incorrectly, she is only 2 after all.  I then realised it is because every time we go out she falls in them

covered in mud

Which leads to muddy cuddles

So perhaps she isn't mishearing or pronouncing incorrectly after all, because to her a muddy puddle usually means she gets a muddy cuddle

Spending more time with the girls recently has shown me just how much my youngest has grown up.  She likes to help, although her version of helping is sometimes different to mine

youngest washing up

She loves to be outside and takes every opportunity to explore

girls exploring

She adores animals and can often be found with J

youngest with J

She is constantly eating and is always messy, I wouldn't have it any other way

youngest chocolate chops

She might keep me up all night but she gives the best cuddles and has a beautiful smile

I feel so guilty I missed out on so much of her growing up but am so lucky to be able to spend this time with her.

This day I love my chocolate chops helper.

The NICI miniclara is part of the Wonderland range from NICI.  She is 30cm tall and incredibly soft and cuddly.  I was really impressed by the quality of miniclara.  Well finished stitching, super soft material and no apparent 'bits' that could fall off causing a potential hazard.

Miniclara makes for excellent cuddles

Both girls love cuddling her.  Miniclara has extra clothes which means you can dress her up.  This is great fun for the girls and helps to aid their imagination.  It is also very good for hand eye coordination.  The clothes are made from the same super soft material and are easy to fasten with the aid of Velcro.

The clothes feature some beautiful stitching making them unique and much more beautiful than some doll clothes I have seen in the past.

MiniClara also has a rather lovely pet cat, which sits in her bag.  The girls loved the cat too, with my youngest running around cuddling the cat shouting 'Look Kitty cat'.

NICI miniclara would make a perfect present and would be a much loved addition to any child.  She is recommended from the ages of 2+.  My youngest who is 2 loves NICI Wonderland Mini Clara Doll and so does my 3 year old.

The weather outside is rather cold, wet and windy.  Not wanting to venture too far, I decided that after dinner I wanted nothing more than to snuggle up with my girls and watch a film.  TalkTalk big October Blockbuster is Epic and is available to TalkTalk customers from the 7th October.  I selected from the box office and sat down with the girls to watch

TalkTalk Epic

Epic is an animated adventure comedy from the makers of Ice Age.  I do love Ice Age and so was very keen to watch the film.  Epic stars Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Christoph Waltz, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler and is directed by Chris Wedge.  As I had not heard of the film before I watched a preview on Youtube before hand just to check the suitability for the girls.

We all settled down to watch the film

My youngest daughter has rather a short attention span when it comes to the TV, she is not too bothered and so once all the chocolate had gone she happily wandered off to play whilst I sat on the sofa with my eldest.  My eldest at 3 rather enjoyed the film.  I don't think she got all the underlying messages of good Vs Evil etc, but the film did capture her imagination.  She loved the tiny leaf people flying on the birds and really loved the talking slugs and snails.  To be honest they really made me laugh too.

The film itself is beautifully animated and a very easy to follow story line.  My eldest and I enjoyed it and it was just what was needed to unwind before bed on this miserable Autumn evening.  I could not think of a better way to spend my evening.

drawing with chalk
Sunday

My youngest is really starting to show an interest in colouring.  As the weather was nice we sent outdoors with the chalk and both girls really enjoyed getting messy and playing with the chalks.

singing and dancing

Monday

The girls had a lot of energy after nursery and decided to jump up and down on the decking singing their favourite songs.  It was lovely watching them sing and dance together.

My lovely name necklace arrived.  I was rather impressed with how fast delivery was and so happy to have it in time for Britmums live.

Wednesday

It is always nice to have cuddles together.

Thursday

My eldest thought her two doughnut balls were just like eyes.  She kept running around with them im front of her eyes.

trunki time

Friday

The girls took their Trunki to Grandmas house so that Mummy could go to Britmums

hedwig and kurio

Saturday

What an amazing time I have had over Friday and Saturday.  This though was the moment that Mummy bird demonstrated the Kurio 7 to Hedwig.  I had so many photos to choose from to sum up Saturday but decided to go with this.  I cannot wait for Britmums next year it was a fantastic event.

With the nice warm weather and my girls showing more and more interest in wildlife, we decided it was time to build our bird table.

The girls enjoyed putting all the pieces together

The girls are no better today, my eldest in fact has got worse.  I spoke to the Dr and they can do nothing more than I am doing already so its plenty of cream, cuddles and kisses to help make her feel better.  My youngest is feeling brighter, but she has moments that I can tell she is not well. I think the younger they are the more they seem to just get on with it.

cream face

We have had a chill day today at home, to try and let the girls relax a little.  We have spent our day cuddling on the sofa or on my bed watching DVDs.  When the girls had a little bit of energy and wanted to play we would play with their toys and look through books.  It did not last long though.

making dinnerfishing game

My eldest even asked to go for a sleep this afternoon and that never happens.

afternoon nap

Each took it in turns for a nap, which was nice because then I got some one on one time with each of my daughters.  I got about 20 minutes when they both were asleep at the same time and got a few chores done in this time.

I do love to have cuddles and kisses with my girls, I am hoping that they feel better soon.

This day I love cream, cuddles and kisses.
